Core Cable for AC and DC Power Transmission

 

Our factory produces the electric power cable for power transmission on both AC and DC sides of solar systems. This product is used for AC/DC distribution, inverter input/output, and transformer connections. The product uses high-purity annealed copper conductors (Class 2 compact-stranded). It has XLPE insulation, an inner lining, and a PVC sheath. The product offers excellent electrical and mechanical strength. The conductor works at up to 90°C. The short-circuit temperature reaches 250°C. Our product is a heavy-duty product for main power lines.

Compact Stranding and Low Loss

 

The electric power cable has two key advantages. First, the compact stranding gives a high fill factor. This reduces the cable diameter and saves installation space. Second, the XLPE insulation has very good electrical properties. The product has low dielectric loss for long-distance transmission. Third, the enhanced PVC sheath resists weather and wear well. We make it to IEC 60502-1 and GB/T 12706 standards. The rated voltage is 0.6/1kV. Every product passes 100% hi-pot and partial discharge tests. More than 300 partners trust our product.

The electric power cable is used for power transmission in many scenarios. On the DC side, it carries current from combiner boxes to DC cabinets and inverters. On the AC side, the product connects inverters to AC distribution panels and step-up transformers. In distribution systems, it links main circuit connections between panels. The electric power cable also fits industrial plant power, building electrical, and infrastructure projects. For current capacity selection, refer to IEC 60364 or local electrical codes. The 0.6/1kV rating also works for DC transmission. But DC voltage should not exceed 1.5 times the AC rating. For solar DC connections, we recommend using solar-specific cables.
